I have tried many NRT to give up smoking and nothing has worked so i thought what the heck i will give it a go. I know people that the book has worked on, infact my dad is in the process of reaing it and giving up at the moment. Advantages: Plenty of useful sentences and phrases on a variety of topics
Disadvantages: It doesn't take advantage of the possibilities of the medium of DVD

As a French tutor, I was interested in seeing whether this DVD would prove to be a useful alternative to the various textbook/CD language packs that are available. I can see that a student of French would find plenty of useful sentences and phrases that can be learned while relaxing on the sofa in front of the TV (as opposed to having to sit in front of a computer screen with a CD-rom perhaps). Basically, you see a sentence in English (in white on a black background) which is read out by a native English speaker. The equivalent sentence appears below it in French, and this is then read out twice by a native French speaker.
