...some really good reviews about The Firm so I thought I'd give it a try and I haven't looked back since! I can't recommend this DVD and the rest of the series enough. The ultimate fat burning workout is the third of The Firms routines I have tried and it is definitely the hardest so far. Having said that, I still found it enjoyable to do!
I think the secret to this DVD is that it uses repetitive series of movements that gradually become longer and ... ...to learn the moves while the continuous additions of extra moves stop you from getting bored. The workout is 40 minutes long and starts with a warm up then a section of cardio to get you nice and warm and your heart rate up. ...you and you can see Vicky properly sweating notlike others where they are perfect all way through. Then a belly shrinker which is great! Getting my abs back and my love handles are going! What is it?:
The Cardio Dance Slim Down is a 40-minute low-impact cardio dance workout with no weights or resistance exercises. Although there is a choreography to follow it's not that difficult and you should be able to learn the moves after 2 maybe 3 times. I strongly suggest to watch the DVD a couple of times before starting, it's not something you can do straight away. Structure:
The workout is well-structured. It starts with a ... ...so whilst you go through the routine you add on one step at a time although quite quickly. The music is ok, I would say it's very basic nothing cool and not much different from other fitness DVDs that I have purchased in the past. The instructor, Allie DelRio Pointer, is really cute and funny, easy to follow and not annoying! I am sorry to say that I was quite disappointed by this workout dvd. Lilia tries to instuct but the steps and sequences seemed muddled and rushed and I struggled to enjoy doing this workout (although I do own a few workouts that include dance). I am sure it works for toning if you stick to it and manage to learn the routines. ...to begin. I chose the Rosemary Conley DVD because the thought of 'getting back into those jeans' as advertised on the front of the case, was really my aim. Also, the information on the case seemed to imply that the DVD would be at my level and fun to use. I think it cost about £15, which initially is an expense, but far cheaper than the gym!!
So far , I have only used the DVD a couple of times, so I can't really say how well the exercises are working. ... ...routines on the DVD. Although Rosemary Conley might appear to be a fitness instructor who would appeal to an older generation, the routines are fun to do and they are accompanied by some modern and more classic songs, which I enjoy listening to.
The DVD is divided into three exercise sections:
** 30 minutes of aerobics
** 20 minutes of Salsacise
**15 minutes of supertoning
