Your Sisters A Suckmonkey!
Review of Lost Boys - The Tribe DVD by
sghawken
Advantages: Corey Feldman is very funny
Disadvantages: It aint in the same league as the original.
...anniversary of a horror classic, Lost Boys - The Tribe is a chance to revisit the feelings and emotions the original Lost Boys gave back in 1987. It's strange to write a review of a sequel to a movie that a large percentage of those reading this will either have not seen or not heard of The Lost Boys. For those who do remember the movie, you rather like me are probably a little bit surprised that it has taken 21 years for a follow on movie to appear. ... ...saw and enjoyed the original Lost Boys I guess it will not be the biggest surprise that this straight to DVD movie offering is the palest of comparisons to the original, though let it not be said it could have been an awful lot worse. Except the movie as a standalone piece and you may very well enjoy this, expect a follow on from the original with equal charm and charisma then you'll get a rude awakening. Essentially Lost Boys - The Tribe is nothing ...

Advantages: Funny, Bloody, Entertaining, Theres Vampires!!!
Disadvantages: The Hairdo's lol
...Feldman and Jamison Newlander as the Frog Brothers
Jami Gertz as Star
Kiefer Sutherland as David
The 80's is the best decade ever for all horror lovers out there, its the decade before they runied most horror movies and did too many remakes of everything, its when most movies actually scared you properly. You had good, bad, campy, and serious. You had slashers, zombies, ghosts, werewolves and vampires. Within these The Lost Boys would be seen ... ...best ever!!!
The Lost Boys starts with a mother named Lucy, played by Dianne Wiest, moving her two sons Michael and Sam to Santa Carla, Claifornia, to live with her father after her divorce. The two boys are typical for their age. Michael (Jason Patric) is the older of the two and is the rebellious teen, Sam (Corey Haim) is the younger brother and is at the confusing in-between age of comics and girls. Once settle the two brothers head out to the ...

classic horror
Review of Hostel (Unseen Edition) by
Ferdi_Mehmet
Advantages: blood, gore, and edge-of-seat stuff
Disadvantages: not quite long enough
For years before Hostel was released, there was a lack of horror films that actually did what they said on the tin. Hostel changed that, and took us once again into a world of limitless terror on film.
Three travellers end up in a small town in Slovakia, searching for the free-sex paradise described to them by a stranger. Before long, their sex and booze-filled adventure becomes a living nightmare, as the characters are subjected to some of the ... ...suffering on the human body.
Hostel does paint a very graphic picture of how cruel one human can be to another, and makes a point of trying to understand that there are indeed two very different human sides to this twisted world.
There'll be moments when you look away in disgust and cover your mouth, as the films drags you through the hellish intensity.
Hostel lives up to its potential, in that Eli Roth wanted to make a film that, when you strip ...

Something Wicked This Way Comes
Review of Zombies DVD by
sghawken
Advantages: Creepy killer kids
Disadvantages: Opening portions are fairly drawn out
...States as Wicked Little Things, Zombies as it's known on UK shores wowed audiences at the now popular After Dark Horrorfest, a weekend long American festival of 8 alternative horror movies. Despite the fact that it had such acclaim, it's taken two years (having appeared at the 2006 Horrorfest) until the UK and Europe get to enjoy the movie. Directed by J.S. Cardone whose previous directorial works included the video nasty The Slayer (1982) and the ... ...While I won't pretend that Zombies is the best horror offering I have seen this year I will say it has some great echoes in horror movie past that will undoubtedly appeal to casual and hardcore horror movie fans. While others have compared the movie to The Omen, a similarity I cannot see I'm reminded most of John Carpenters 1978 movie The Fog, there is a great scene where a group of teenagers are desperately trying to escape a group of killer zombie ...

28 weeks later... and 28 weeks better! (",)
Review of 28 Weeks Later (DVD) by
susannaspecial
Advantages: Brilliant special effects, nail-biting action and jumpy bits!
Disadvantages: The characters of the children are a little dull...
...and it happened to have 28 days in it.
I absolutely loved it straight away, which i wasn't expecting as i'd always avoided films that had zombie's in as i automatically classed them as "rubbish"..... which, looking back, seems rather strange as i'd NEVER actually sat and watched one!! Lol! But i was literally captivated by 28 days later. The eerie sight of London completely empty grabbed me straight away, and the action really started quickly and ... ...I couldn't wait to see 28 weeks later when i heard about it, especially to find out what had happened to London and the rest of the country.
And it is this fact that makes me a little ashamed to admit that it was actually only yesterday that i went out and rented it!!! *lowers head*
Now, i've had a brief glance at a few other of the reviews, and they don't seem to be really enthusiastic about this follow up to 28 days later, but i absolutely loved ...
