...should go next before the arachnid catches them up. Everytime you see the spider it is always close up so the not so special effects man can pull the strings out of the cameras veiw. ...the sticky web and the arachnid wakes up and climbs out of the cocoon attacking and killing our unhandsome mercenary and leaving mr good looks injured and useless to the cause before chasing little miss braindead down a tunnel.(sigh!) This is the only time in the film that we see the spider from distance(Really bad CGI effects) as it races after the woman. It chases her running up and down the tunnel walls and it looks like it is wearing roller ... Read review

Advantages: Good action scenes and a few good scares.
Disadvantages: Shifting plotlines, muddled characters, horrific camerawork, and the stereotyped constantly scared black guy.

...the pun, didn't fly. Bats is, at best, a mediocre work involving a lot of people running in terror from a great many more than a lot of bats. The difficulty I have is that these people running in terror are in Texas. At the risk of sounding culturally insensitive, I thought Texans were generally firearms aficionados, especially small-town Texans. Why on earth would they run from a bunch of bats, instead of fighting back? But this small point aside, ...
...to try and freeze the bats to make them hibernate at first, then freeze to death soon after. I had sort of a difficult time following the plot at first; it's especially hard to tell after a while just what genre the director was trying for. Action? Horror? Science fiction? Drama? Any one of these could be valid, but why should the viewer be forced to guess? And of course, the introduction of the "It's all a government plot" concept really muddies ... Read review

Advantages: Tempting to watch, high expections
Disadvantages: TRASH! UTTER TRASH!!! (and cheap scare tactics)

...popped up on tv for boogeyman saying how scary and chilling this film was, and not knowing what to expect I journeyed down to the cinema with a couple of mates to watch it. I knew the film was a 15 certificate, so I wasnt expecting anything too gory, violent or generally adult like, but after watching it I can safely say the BBFC is becoming far too soft these days and that I have seen scarier PG's (e.g nosferatu! ive done a small review on it!) ...
...afraid of this so called boogeyman should watch this film as they will then find out that this film not only proves the non existance of boogeyman, but also proves that the boogeyman is actually the same guy that plays imothep from the mummy and the mummy returns (not the human version, but the actual maggot infested mummy version only this time grey). The part when the 'dad' is so fed up that he decides to go and finally put an end to this boogeyman ... Read review
