Advantages: Interesting story, captures the era in which it is set

I was tricked into watching The Illusionist, if you pardon the pun. A friend had recently acquired it on DVD and I had been subjected to his enthusiastic raves regarding how good this film was. As someone who is not particularly up to speed on films I hadn't actually heard anything about this film before, but I agreed to borrow it and last night I finally got the chance to sit down and watch it. When I was looking through the films on Sky and saw a film featuring Ashlee Simpson I knew I had to record it. I never knew she acted in anything and was intrigued to see if she and the film were any good. As someone who has reasonably recently discovered her music I wanted to see if any of her songs I knew featured in the film. A quick look on IMDb.com told me that unsurprisingly 'Undiscovered' a song from 'Autobiography' was in it and a couple ...
