Backstage Back-Stabbing
Review of Being Julia DVD by afy9mab

Advantages: Great performances backed up by a witty script and fabulous production design
Disadvantages: Has been largely ignored at the cinema

...bitches in your house…”), that being said, the more realistic speech is well realised. Though the film focuses on the central performance, there is sufficient character development for the other protagonists to seem consistent, if not entirely realistic. Szabó has assembled a solid cast that consists of well-respected thespians and new faces, who acquit themselves well in the face of more experienced actors. The cinematography by Lajos Koltai revels ...
...beautiful people, whilst skimming over the squalor that underpins it all. The characters all put on a public face whilst keeping their private lives to themselves and more than one of them has a secret they are keeping from others. This is illustrated by the games Julia plays; when fully made-up she is playing a role, whether it be actress, mother, wife or lover, but as soon as the mask of make-up is removed, she is nothing more than a vulnerable ... Merchant, oh Merchant, where art thou Merchant
Review of The Merchant Of Venice DVD by doosh1989

Advantages: Fantastic scenery and brilliant cast
Disadvantages: Can be slow and difficult to follow

...of Venice Film Review The Merchant of Venice is a film adaptation of the Shakespeare comedy directed by Michael Radford. It was written by Shakespeare in 1594 and this is when the film is set. The film itself was released into cinemas in late 2004. 1594 was a golden year for Shakespeare as 1594 was the same year that another popular work; Romeo and Juliet was published. The film adaptation follows this theme of golden work as the storyline is incredibly ...

Even non-Dicaprio fans will enjoy it
Review of Titanic/The Man In The Iron Mask/Romeo And Juliet (Box Set) by huntressofthenight

Advantages: Three great films for an amazing price
Disadvantages: No special features on Titanic and Romeo + Juliet

It is clear that anyone considering buying this has at least a slight admiration for Leonardo Dicaprio. I can therefore ay wholeheartedly that this box set is a must-have for Dicaprio fans, but also, the lesser enthusiatics. It is also appropriate for those who enjoy cinema, or at the very least a good movie night in. The Man In The Iron Mask is a film I had only seen partially before purchasing this box set. I can say that I think this is by far ...
...play two alter egos at the same time, and he does so convincingly. The supporting cast are memorable and outstanding> the same can be said for the most part for both Titanic and Romeo & Juliet. It is rare to find such a collection of movies in which not one is the 'filler' - that is to say, the weak link. I purchased this set for £9.99, which I consider to be well worth the money. It is rare to pay so little so see the huge variety of talent on ... Read review

Humbert is strangely drawn to Lolita, her girlish ways, devastating beauty, and heady sexuality; but as Lolita is just 13 years old Humbert must restrain himself.
