Advantages: Interesting plot, good acting, makes you think

Advantages: Well written story by Michael Connelly
Disadvantages: The film is disapointing as they have changed the story slightly. The investigation isn't as intense as the book described it.

I know that you can't get as much information into a 90 minute film as you can in a 400 page book, however this film disapointed me. Lets move away from the book because the film is quite a good watch. Clint Eastwood stars as Terry McCaleb, an ex police investigator. Disadvantages: Acting, cardboard characters, dull.

...because I'm cruel like that. Body of Evidence isn't as bad as Swept Away, but then again it isn't much better, with the acting and direction mediocre at best. This film caused a high amount of controversy when it was released in 1993; not just because we see Madonna rolling around naked for a lot of it, but because of a certain scene involving hot candle wax. ...throughout this review if you're looking for a bit of cheap mindless entertainment then this is it, although it will probably leave you laughing more then anything. Advantages: Gripping, engaging story lines
Disadvantages: Can't think of any!

I've just finished watching House Series 1 on DVD, having come to this series late in the day. Each episode is like a self contained medical detective story. House is a great character, irascible and difficult to work with but forgiven for this because of his great intelligence and snippets of compassion that peek through. The ongoing game of one-up-manship with the hospital administrator adds spice. The story lines are good and production values ...
...an impression of what is happening inside the body, both with treatment and with illnesses. Hugh Laurie is a convincing American.The supporting cast provides a nice mix of characters and the more you watch the more you learn about their backgrounds, so their back histories unfold bit by bit.
