He never feels the need to pull a cheap gag instead allowing the viewer to empathize with the main characters as they develop throughout the story. Full credit for a job well done. I actually went to see this when it was on at the cinema. I remember afterwards thinking it was amazing. I think because back then Freddie Prinze Jnr wasn't just an actor - he was the poster on my wall! This film was pleasent and funny an ideal family picture. Would recomend it for that saturday or Friday night in with the kids. Sit in with your popcorn glass of pop and put your feet up and enjoy a great evening in front of your television. But if you like gore and find family films a bore then this movie aint for you.
