And now for something completely different. A very silly film. It is silly, but it is funny. It's a Monty Python film! I havn't seen all of the episodes of the Flying Circus, and apparently, alot of the scenes in this film are taken from the Flying Circus. So with this you can see two shows in one! Carry On Regardless is one of the earlier Carry On films and as such is a black and white offering. ...the best endings in a Carry On film, firmly holding onto that fine, feel-good spirit which would slowly dissolve from here on. The cast are all on usual form, though Peter Butterworth and Hattie Jaques are perharps the best players here. They make an almost Laurel and Hardy kind of duo and Jaques in particular is an unusual role, playing a Spanish, downtrodden and seemingly demented cook.
