The Ronin is a term used for ancient Japanese Samurai Warriors without masters and the group the Irish hire are quite similar to these ancient Warriors. Of course things are never straight forward in this tale of treachery, betrayal and deceit. An absolutely great movie. This movie was awesome from the word go. It's got a very atmospheric feel and all the characters in the film are great. The film is made up of a few short stories kinda like pulp fiction. It's a very graphic and violent movie based on the underworld and its comic book picturisation creates a great atmosphere. Lots of bloodiness ensues in this no-budget, independent London gangster flick. But don't go thinking this is a Guy Ritchie or Martin Scorsese type gangster movie - it's far from it!
