Dont shoot the thermo nuclear warheads!
Review of Broken Arrow DVD by IzzyS

Advantages: Fair amount of action, Semi entertaining, Christian Slater looks good lol
Disadvantages: Formulaic, predictable, a bit daft at times

This is an action film starring Christian Slater and John Travolta as two US airforce pilots. Vic Deakins (played by Travolta) turns nasty when he decides out of greed to attempt to get a huge amount of cash from the government by stealing two nuclear warheads and asking for huge amounts of money for their safe return or he'll set them off causing mass devastation. However, thingsdon't go too smoothly for Deakins when he realises his old partner ...
...killed when he got control of the bombs, appears back on the scene and is determined to disarm the warheads. However, Hale isn't on his own, as when he wakes up after having landed hap hazardly in the desert, he's spotted by a park ranger, who's pretty shocked at having found someone in such a barren landscape and is worried what their motives may be. The ranger is called Terry Carmichael (played by Samantha Mathis) and on spotting Hale, she attempts ... Read review

Explosions, Explosions and more Explosions!!!
Review of Broken Arrow/The Siege/Chain Reaction (Box Set) by scarfaceman

Advantages: 3 films for the price of 1
Disadvantages: No extras

...seperately, so here goes: Broken Arrow The Story is so simple and typical of an american writer, 2 Air Force pilots are pitted against each other in a race to recover two stolen nuclear warheads. It makes you wonder what realy happens over in america, they seem to lose more nuclear weapons than i care to imagine!!! What transpires is a Fast Paced action adventure that makes you wonder what incredibel feat will the main stars (Travolta, Slater) do ...
...myself during watching!(Namely after the scene on top of the train, i added "It's been a while since anyone has shot between her legs") Worth watching as it has good entertainment value. I still thoroughly enjoyed this film, yet it was not a remarkable performance by any of the cast nor director! Director:- John Woo Cast include's:- John Travolta, Christian Slater, Delroy Lindo Run Time:- 104mins approx The Siege This was the main film that ... Read review

DRIVEL!
Review of Driven (Wide Screen) by cokane

Advantages: You Can Switch It Off
Disadvantages: Its Sad To See Stallone Sink Even Lower

...owner of a copy of Driven through a joke £1 bid on ebay. There was a day left on the auction, surely I would be outbid. Surely. But no, my bid won, I couldn't believe it. Why would the seller even accept such a low bid, I didn't care, I'd got one over on him. Little did I realise he was probably laughing all the way to the bank with his shiny little pound. I should have guessed something was up when no-one else put in a bid. They knew something I ...
...since Sylvester had started turning up in the paddock at every F1 meeting about 7 years ago. He was planning to make a movie about F1, applying the good old rocky formula, racer is coming to end of career, racer gets his chance, mean German/Brit/Scandinavian gets in his way, racer overcomes him as he overcomes his own personal demon and roll titles. Another Stallone triumph in the bag, surely. Then I found out he'd had a wee row with the F1 people ... Read review

Exit Wounds/Out For Justice
Review of Exit Wounds / Out For Justice DVD by TheWrenster

Advantages: Two movies for the price of one
Disadvantages: They are both Steven Seagal movies

...two movies prove it. In Exit Wounds, he plays a cop who is demoted to a tough precinct, only to find the place riddled with corruption, and him sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong. DMX plays a lead suspect who may or may not be involved. The action scenes are loud and frantic and come every five minutes, although the rushing sounds of each kick make it laughable. Out For Justice, however, is a no-nonsense, ultra-violent revenge thriller ...
...friend and fellow cop. Unlike Exit Wounds, which does have some comic relief, Out For Justice does, and is just violent scene after violent scene. Character development and subplots don't exist. Maybe the makers of the Seagal films believe that his fans don not have the capacity to store these facts. Personally, I prefer my movies to have stronger stories, characters and half decent direction, not just a film where people get various body parts blown ... Read review
