Knight or day this will always be a great film
Review of A Knight's Tale DVD by Diggyzed

Advantages: Storyline
Disadvantages: ???

...to around 50gb which is a huge improvement from the standard dvd which can hold around 5 at the max. Blu rays work by using an incredibly thin laser to read the disc therefore more information can be stored on the disc resulting in a much higher picture and sound quality. A Knight's Tale is the story of three conmen who use a drunken knight to win jousting fights for them. When the knight dies with one round left Will Thatcher takes the knight's ...
...has a chance to become one of the best jousters while his mates think he is an idiot Will becomes determined to follow his dream. This story involes witty jokes and a storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. Is Will going to be accepted as a knight? Will he defeat Count Adhemer? And will he get the girl? The acting is all British so you know it is good. It gives us a breath of fresh air from your usual American accented ... Read review

Bond is back and Better than before
Review of Casino Royale DVD by valve90210

Advantages: A great start to a new era in the Bond Franchise
Disadvantages: Much too long a wait for the next film in the same style

...to be a retelling of Casino Royale, I was intrigued but also worried that it would be a horrible mess. As more was released about the film, how it was going to take a darker road, and was to be treated as the birth of a new era of Bond, it started to become clear that this was going to be something rather different to what had come before. From the word go, this film is vintage Bond, chases, violence, sharp dialogue, it's all there (in fact it's ...
...little of the poetic license with regards the physical action). And as for Mr Craig.... well I admit I was wrong, he IS James Bond, he truely looked, spoke, ran, jumped, breathed...lived the part, he IS Bond!!! There are some flaws with the film but mainly due to the origins type nature of it, however on the whole it's an exciting and thrilling film and opens Bond up to the viewer unlike previous films, so we see what makes him tick and what has ... A Darker Bond Arrives in Daniel Craig
Review of Casino Royale DVD by PriyanPhoenix

Advantages: Daniel Craig excels in this darker take on Bond
Disadvantages: Standard Bond villains and lack of gadgetry

...in a poker game at Casino Royale in Montenegro. Bond joins in, with the Treasury's investment being watched by the alluring Vesper Lynd [Eva Green]. Comparison can be drawn with the return to the Dark Knight's roots in Batman Begins. Similarly the tone shifts to a darker, more gritty world. The action sequences are far more gripping for the simple reason that in contrast to the old clean, almost clinical, violence, now when Bond fights he gets hurt. ...
...is drenched crimson with blood, in later scenes we see his face scarred from earlier fights. The film pushes its 12A rating with two uncomfortably protracted strangulation scenes. This is not to say the kinetic, unbelievable action set pieces, the staple of the Bond experience, have gone. Indeed it opens with a highly memorable le parkour free running chase through a building site. There are no car chases, although they do destroy a beautiful Aston ... Read review

Action and scientific intrigue
Review of Deja Vu DVD by marcberryman

Advantages: Good story, good effects and lots of action
Disadvantages: Va Kilmer poorly cast

Fantastic film! The story is to an extent very original and highlights the ethical issues of time travel. The drama centres around an explosion, killing hundreds of people, and how the FBI has access to technology that offers the chance to see the past and find the person responsible. Denzel plays the cop with the experience of analysing crime scenes, and his quick analysis is needed as the technology only allows one look at the past so every fine ...
...closer and closer to the case he realises that he has the power to change what has happended. Denzel is his usual self (I find capable of playing only one character in all his films) and a slightly chunky Val Kilmer plays quite a boring agent and doesn't seem to have much to do in the film but take up space. The special effects are good, but not amazing. On a plus the film doesn't go into too much science (which I prefer) so we are left with some ... Read review
