Advantages: Brilliant film, few but solid extras, well packaged
Disadvantages: Not one

I saw this film first whilst in college and frankly it's been a very tough time finding a better film since. The film is basically a tale of three youths from one of Paris' run down outskirt estates who find a policemans weapon and contemplate reaping revenge for their friend who was shot during a riot. ...the film is wonderful. The black and white works extremely well in augmenting the bleak and brutal world in which the protaganists live. The camerawork is fantastic as well with some remarkable shots and editing. On top of this the music in the film is very fitting and really helps the atmosphere of the film. ...to play James Bond in Diamonds Are Forever - a film that would reunite him with Goldfinger director Guy Hamilton. What is the plot of Diamonds Are Forever you ask? The plot of Diamonds Are Forever is all over the place with one or two holes but essentially revolves around diamond smuggling. ...them need all of these diamonds anyway? Diamonds Are Forever has been described as the first Roger Moore James Bond film and I think there is some truth to this observation. Although Diamonds Are Forever is quite offbeat at times with a very atmospheric score by John Barry that is a major strength, it is also quite jovial in tone. Advantages: Great acting and storyline
Disadvantages: Can't really think of any, i loved it...

Advantages: Very funny, good special effects!
Disadvantages: A little on the short side!

Advantages: Great films, nice extras, nice box.
Disadvantages: No Die Hard 4

After Die Hard 4's release last summer i felt compelled to buy the original films. The original trilogy still cuts the mustard even without lashings of CGI and such. The old tale of a renegade cop is nothing new but it was reborn in these films with not only great casting and the wonerful ham acting of Alan Rickman (Die Hard), but also great action and good solid film-making. As for the box set, not only does it come with the films but a strong set ...
...watch over and over. I think the only possible let down for me is that Die Hard 4.0 (which i would recommend buying with this set and taking the weekend off) isn't included, but this isn't the end of the world. All in all a safe buy for action fans. ... Read review
