The film starts of like something very different, a boat drifts into New York Harbour, the Harbour Patrol investigate and get attacked by a rather disgusting and slightly obese Zombie. The owner of the boat's Daughter played by Tisa Farrow (sister of Mia who left the movies to work as a taxi driver) decides it neads further investigation and heads off with New Yourk Reporter played by 70's TV star Ian McCullough (BBC's Survivors and Doctor Who) to the island of Mutul. Where her father was last known to be, upon arrival they discover a deadly disease is spreading throughout the island turning people into Zombies.

The most bizarre part of this film is that legendary actor Richard Johnson stars, he was one ove Oliviers luvvies, and to find an actor of such calibre in a low budget Italian Shock Horror is quite some suprise.
Advantages: All zombie fans will love this. Disadvantages: The films dub is a little off, but who cares when there's zombies involved.
...yet to see all the zombie features.. so I'm a little slow - bite me ;^) This is one that has been in the back of my brain on my must watch list for a long time. Up until I recently saw the film, I suppose I was a little sceptic to it being in any way as entertaining as some of the brilliant Romero films (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead).. But I was pleasantly surprised at how scary and gore-tastic it was. The fantastically ...

Advantages: The pinnacle in Italian gore Disadvantages: Nothing
Zombie Flesh Eaters is directed by the prolific Italian director Lucio Fulci. The film opens with an abandoned boat, floating aimlessly on the open water that surrounds Manhattan. From that poetic opening comes an onslaught of classic zombie gore, accompanied by the synthesised keyboard, poor acting and even worse dubbing, and with that this film becomes the top of the mountain in Italian horror. The film follows a womens task to find her father, ... ...they are thrown among a zombie plauge, and must fight through hordes of the undead to uncover the reason for the disaperance of the young womens father. This film, for me, a zombie fanatic, is what the genre is all about. A zombie master class and a film of sheer brilliance. The acting, bad dubbing and story adds to this films character, making it the classic that it is. If you want a film that it clever, with a neatly woven, politically charged ...

Advantages: Amusing for the wrong reasons.. Disadvantages: Cheesy music, cheesy acting, bad special effects
I got given the film 'ZombieFleshEaters' for Christmas about 5 years ago, and I saw 'ZombieFleshEaters 2' and 'ZombieFleshEaters 3' for sale for quite cheap just after, so I decided to buy them too so I would have the whole collection..
This film is part of the 'Vipco's Screamtime Collection' which is a large collection of films from lots of different directors and time periods which have 'terrified audiences around the world!'
The slogan on the back of the dvd is 'The Dead Rise Again'. I have seen other zombie films such as 'Dawn of the Dead' and liked them so I thought that this might be similar and that I'd enjoy it.
The dvd has a couple of special features on it. There is a 'Picture Gallery', which shows pictures from the film which you can scroll through with your dvd remote/moouse. These are basically pictures ...
Advantages: Cheap, a good tacky horror film Disadvantages: A bit too tacky for most people I suspect
ZombieFleshEaters 2 is a film from the Vipco Screamtime Collection ('Films that terrified audiences around the world') a claim which I very much doubted somehow. Still, it looked like one of those films that looked so bad it was good and it was only 2.99 so I decided to buy it.
As you can see from the picture, the cover is pretty unremarkable, very plain and doesn't really give anything away, although perhaps the title says it all really.
I have not heard of any of the actors in this film, nor did I expect to, and checking the filmography on the DVD I didn't even recognise the films they had been in. Although Deran Satarian has directed an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - 'Killed by Death' and also an episode of Nash Bridges.

, people turn into Zombies, you know the story, its not going to have a happy ending. Its good on gore bt the heart was ripped from the project early.
Its good to watch it, to say that you have seen it, but its not something that you would ever want to watch again.

DVD Description
In ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS, a young woman named Anne (Tisa Farrow) joins forces with reporter Peter West (Ian Mc Culloch) in a search for her missing father, whose abandoned yacht was the scene of a New York harbor patrolman's brutal murder. The investigation leads them to the remote Caribbean island Matul, where they are thrust into a life threatening battle with an army of flesh-eating zombies. Horror maestro Lucio Fulci's (THE BEYOND) visceral 1979 film paved the way for the early 1980s Italian zombie and cannibal craze. The movie was titled ZOMBI 2 in Europe to cash in on the success of George A. Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD, which was produced in Italy as ZOMBI by Dario Argento.
