Advantages: Lively, Fast, and Very Action-Filled Disadvantages: Sound
...Andy McNab was placed in charge of the SAS squad that's job was to go behind enemy lines and destroy mobile SCUD rocket launchers in Iraq. It's callsign was "Bravo Two Zero".
The DVD, based on McNab's book, "Bravo Two Zero", stars British actor Sean Bean and McNab himself. The names used in the book are mentioned throughout the film, and the actors reinacted the book to the word, exceptionally well. Bean himself was suberb for this role, being an Englishman himself, was able to fit really well into the role of McNab.
Many places are mentioned in the film, such as the British SAS headquarters at Hereford, and places in Iraq that many veterans of the war in Iraq may recognise.
Throughout the film, it is narrated with text from the book itself, offering a sense of understanding more about the event with Bravo Two Zero. The DVD portrays...

Advantages: Excellent war movie, good acting + special features on DVD Disadvantages: DD 5.1 audio would have been nice
...passes.
My Thoughts:
I purchased this soon after it was shown on TV as I was completely hooked on it; the action, the story just everything about it! As some of you may know this DVD is based on a true story and I had to keep asking myself did this really happen! These guys go through hell and the story is retold so well that your heart will be racing in places. Since watching this I have read the Bravo two Zero book by Andy McNabb and believe that this movie is a fairly good adaptation so if you haven't seen this yet and enjoy war movies/SAS action then go get it now!
The DVD:
I paid full price of around £12.99 when this was first released and thought that it was good value for money even at this 'high price'. The video quality on the DVD is excellent and clear even during the night scenes, which there are plenty of. The audio sadly is only...

Tarantinoesque thriller ZERO features three intersecting storylines that take place over the course of a single day. In the first, a down-on-his-luck undertaker appears to have dug himself into an early grave when he gambles everything away at a casino and cannot afford to repay his debts. Meanwhile, a sexually-frustrated soldier goes AWOL from the army, hoping to find his girlfriend and satisfy his libidinous urges. The third storyline involves a gang of carjackers whose insatiable drug-lust is the only thing that drives them to a life of crime. Inevitably, all three stories collide with explosive results.
Advantages: A great understanding what from the attacks to the panic and to the rebuilding America. Disadvantages: None
...I bought this DVD to try and get a better understanding about what happened on September 11th 2001. And to answer those questions about, how did they clear the ruins, how long did it take etc. There are three title films on this DVD they are, 24 Hours From Ground Zero, 7 Days In September, and America Rebuilds-A Year At Ground Zero.
24 Hours From Ground Zero - is a extraordinary look at the evolution of the World Trade Center horror, experienced through the eyes and the voices of people at the scene who were among the first to arrive at ground zero. With the barrage of attacks over the first critical hour, then focuses on search and rescue efforts. You'll see this titanic tragedy from eye-level, along with the people who lived through it.
7 Days In September - A rare human look at the events of 9/11 and the week that follows...

Advantages: Great storyline, great flashbacks. A joy to watch. Disadvantages: None
...Ahh, Holes! Having read the great novel Holes by Louis Sachar, this film really does represent it well. It follows the unfortunate adventure of Stanley Yelnats which does eventually turn him fortunate.
When he is walking home on his way back from school, a pair of sneakers from a very famous Baseball player falls from the sky on to his head. Before you know it he is arrested and sent to camp green lake. At camp green lake he is forced to dig holes, more holes and lots more holes! Within the film there are many flashbacks which explain why the children are having to dig. To begin with he doesn't get on well with the other children but is eventually taken in and is given the nick name 'caveman'. Although one person who is not very popular is zero who never speaks. He and Stanley become very close and when zero runs away Stanley follows...
