I've always wanted to beable to breakdance like they do on the film so i thought i would buy the Take It To The Streets DVD in hope to get some guidance on becoming a good breakdancer. After buying and watching the DVD i was extremeley dissapointed by what i saw and wished i had spent my £10 on something else. All i can say is that i got served.
The DVD lasts for around 50 mins and includes about three dance routines and a couple of small clips about street dancing and how to do some small moves. If you have watched the film then you will understand that the routines that are in this DVD are weak. Unfortunately other then one clip from the extra features and a small section about how to do body poppin and waves the DVD is totally off the mark. The dance routines look poor and seem complicated to learn. If you want to learn how to breakdance then like me keep searching until you find something that suits you. Unfortunately i haven't found a decent breakdancing dvd but this is definately isnt one. If you haven't seen You Got Served then you might not understand why i didn't like this DVD but i recommend watching the film before you try to learn the dance moves.
If you want to learn how to dance like they do in the film, just watch the dance scenes and extra features from the actual film. You probably have a few favourite scenes from you got served or a few moments that have had you amazed. I recommend getting yourself some space and watching the dance scenes over and over again rather than purchasing this DVD.
All i can say good about the DVD is that its one for the collection Ive watched it once and now it sits with all my other DVD's. Furthermore if your not interested in breakdancing and just want some new moves then give this DVD a try it might prove useful.
Overall: If You haven't got the film You Got Served buy that, but don't try and learn the dances from buying this dvd it just wont happen it's really quite poor.
