*** What Goes on***
At the start of the movie Zohan does some cool stuff like flips and tricks but is just so you know what kind of movie this is going to be. There is a certain scene at the beginning where he cooks fish naked on a beach when he throws it up in the air and catches it in his backside which is always a thoroughly amusing part. He then gets taken off by his commander, to capture a terrorist. Zohan has other ideas... He wants to cut and style hair. When he tells his parents this they certainly don't take the idea seriously. The next part shows Zohan doing his flips and jumps followed by a comedy fight scene which is supposed to be funny but i personally did not find amusing. Zohan moves to America to fulfill his dream of cutting and styling hair. Later in the movie Zohan sorts out a car accident leading to him going to someones house and having dinner before, well... enjoying time in the bedroom with his new found friends mother. Zohan (now nicknamed scrappy-coco) as so not to be identified cannot find a job but gets work sweeping up hair but soon gets a job as a stylist. Though People want to build a shopping mall there so try to shut it down but fail as Zohan Brings in so much money. The rest of the movie involves terrorist action along with plenty more laughs and entertainment though i feel this review will get too long if i continue in this section.
***My Opinion***
Overall i think that this movie is funny, though contains too many sexual scenes. I think that Adam Sandler has done much better movies and this was definitely not his best. The story line could have been stronger and i feel that at some points many times in the movie instead of laughing i was near to throwing up. The actors performance was satisfactory though i think Adam Sandler could have wasted his time on some other movie instead of this one, however his great acting and charm was still there. Dhalia the hairdresser is a great actor which i had never seen before previous to this movie, she does a good dramatic-face act which i found funny but wasn't supposed to be. The terrorist and Israeli's are funny in what they say and do but i felt it got on the edge of racist at times. ***Few Extra Details*** Run time: 113 Mins Price: RRP around 20-30 pounds Sound track: Dolby 5:1 Filmed in: Manhattan/Israel Language: English (some Hebrew used though)
