A Great introduction to Yoga

Advantages: Useful for everyone regardless of age

..the background music is really soothing ,i feel it is just right.. I started following the 'Aasanas' mentioned on the DVD and within a matter of days , started feeling lighter, more flexible and much more energetic...Gives a lot of mental strength too, when practiced over a long period of time.. There are certain norms that one should follow before practicing yoga, this is true of any kind of strenuous exercise.. One is advised to practice Yoga every day for at least 30-35 minutes..or at leat for 15-20 minutes if one is really pressed for time... It is best to do Yoga 3-4 hours after taking a meal, the stomach should be light while doing yoga... One needs a lot of space for hand and body movements while practicing Yogic asanas , so it is better to sit in a open place or a spacious room with enough room for body movements.. Antenatal yoga, lets hope these days its better!!

Advantages: You gain a few tips for positions to try in birth
Disadvantages: Most of the dvd to be honest.

. Right the way through the dvd kathy and tricia are talking in parts but they dont really say much that happens to be much help. The workout then goes into different stretches all are very simple and easy to do but to be honest i dont feel them at all and it feels like you want to do more right the way through the workout. Its is very boring to watch, i understand to do yoga you need to be calm and they talk soft ect but this is just outright boring you may put up with it if the workout was good but even that bored me the whole time i was doing it. After the stretches section you go down onto the floor for some more "intense" pelvic stretches. i could feel these work a little more than the others but again it was all very boring and to easy to do. After alot of stretching positions you go into relax mode where you mentally stretch ...
