Advantages: Really captures China in the mid nineties Disadvantages: If you have no interest in China, it could be boring
Xiao Wu is a petty thief in Beijing in the mid nineties when he suddenly realises that everyone and everything is changing around him, yet he is staying the same. This feeling is intensified when a former partner in crime, who has now become a successful businessman, is getting married, but won't invite Xiao Wu to the wedding. Xiao Wu tries to persuade him otherwise, offering a substantial sum of money as a wedding gift, but his friend turns the money down, claiming it is dirty. Things begin to look up when Xiao Wu meets Mei Mei, a karaoke girl, but life again smacks him in the face when she suddenly leaves to marry a rich man. Will he ever be able to dig himself out of the hole he is in?

Advantages: Great transportation links Disadvantages: none
When trying to decide on a hotel for our trip to Hong Kong we did a lot of research and opted for the Metro Park Hotel in Causeway bay rather than its sister hotel in Kowloon. This was mainly due to its location in a quieter part of town and its superb transport links. The hotel is roughly three quarters of an hour from the airport and the bus to the airport stops at the door of the hotel, as our transport was included we did not use that option. It is well located too with the MTR station being just along the road, the trams passing the end of the road and the bus to Stanley also just a short walk away. The hotel also runs free transport to Causeway Bay shopping area and also Wan Chai for the conference centre and star ferry.

Hong Kong Disneyland is situated on Lantau Island where it was built on reclaimed land. It was opened in 2005 and covers approximately 100 acres though expansion plans are in the pipeline this is the smallest of the Disneyland resorts. It is very easy to get to from Hong Kong as the MTR runs there with the last leg of the journey from Sunny Bay station being on a Disney themed train with Mickey windows and hand pull also in the shape of Mickeys head which the children loved.

Attractions here are the Hong Kong Disneyland railroad which can take you a tour round the park with one stop in Fantasyland.
