Hi, my name is Melissa. My favourite quote of the month is " Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

I brought when it first came out, because i absolutely loved these episodes.
For all the people that don't know Xena here's a little background for you. Xena is a ex-warlord trying to right the wrongs for what she did as a evil warlord, along the way a young girl joins her called Gabrielle. Together they fight warlords, demons, Gods trying to bring the evil down in the world. This show has it all from comedy, thriller, Damara, horror etc and deals with adult themes as well.
Girls Just Wanna' Have Fun, is a episode based on Bacchus the god of wine and his deadly bloodsucking followers. Orpheus, the musician with his Lyre keeps the blood suckers at bay is deprived of his body by Bacchus, he can no longer play his lyre and thus the Bacchae are on the loose. Unable to find the Lyre they go into the cave where they live, hampered by the fact that Gabrielle becomes a Bacchae herself. Gabrielle turns on her friends and only by becoming a Bacchae herself can Xena hope to complete her mission and save Gabrielle. This is a fun loving Halloween episode with some great music to go with it.
Return of Callisto, after escaping prison and killing the guards Callisto goes after Xena. Meanwhile Perdicus finds Xena and Gabrielle and proposes to Gabrielle, who finally accepts his offer. Leaving Xena heart broken. Callisto catches up with the unarmed Gabrielle and Perdicus in some swampy marshes and is about to kill Gabrielle when Xena arrives; Xena stops her but as Callisto leaves she kills Perdicus. Leaving Gabrielle heart broken and revenge on her mind, asks Xena to teach her to kill with the sword, with Xena is extremely unwilling to do. Stars the great actress Hudson Leick, no matter if you like her or not she is a crazy warrior obsess with Xena. A truly wonderful episode for all the characters to grow even more.
Warrior...Princes...Tramp, with three Xena doubles in this episode you have it all, the warrior- Xena, the princess- Diana and the tramp- Meg. Gabrielle is shocked when she encounters Joxer in a bar describing a sexual encounter with Xena, which she reprimands him for, and they proceed to the court. Gabrielle is even more shocked when Xena doesn't seem to recognize her and throws her into the dungeon. This is a non-stop laughable episode that will really tickle your funny bone.
Even to this day these are still among my favorites. What attracted me to Xena in the first place was the storyline, females kicking butt and the weekly challengers they had to face, whether it was with enemies or between themselves they always solved the problem. And I love the flash back episodes where you gain even more information about how evil and smart Xena was, and how she came to be that bad.
This is a MUST have DVD, for all Xena lovers, and these who just what to have a watch to see if you will like it. Well worth the money.
