I recently went to see the new X-Men and WOW. It was quite amazing. Its about the idea of humans with mutations. They live amongst us humans, but have extrodinary powers. It was a truely amazing film. The writer must have such a wild imagination. The things that he thought of were so abnormal. He created things like a mutant, that could enter someones mind and completely take control of their actions, or someone that could create an enormous magnetic field around him. there was one scene in the film, where this mutant with the magnetic field (called Magneto) lifts a gun with his powers, and fires it at a police man, but Professor X, the man with the mind controlling powers holds this bullet with his powers. But the thing about this bullet, is that is is spinning on the forehead of this police mans head. Weird at first, but then it was kind of funny. He didnt die, because Magneto dropped the bullet after all.
This was just one of the amazing scenes of the film. Another good one is placed on the top of the Statue of liberty, they are all kicking each other around, and so on.
One character, Mystique, who can transform into almost anything has a funky costume. Its blue, and i guess covered with some scale type material. She's an amazing fighter, I wouldn't like to meet her in a dark alley. She was on the Big Breakfast once, and was explaining that all the fighting was her own work, no camera tricks there. This was good to here, as I presume that there are many camera tricks in that film, as destructive beams coming from somebodies eyes doesnt occur natrually.
The film was a 12 rating, so there was no particular violence or anything. My sister saw it and could still sleep at night. :-). In my opinion it a definite must for this weeks cinema trip.
