I'm not usually a big fan of sequels (except toy story 2 which was brilliant) but I did really enjoy this film. As a fan of the X-men cartoon when I was younger I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all my favourites on the big screen (except gambit) in the first film. The problem with this film was that you could almost see the dollar signs appearing, and with the influx of sequels in the cinema at the moment I suppose I was a bit biased before I even went in. The special effects were fantastic though, and finding out more about Wolverine's (played by the gorgeous Hugh Jackman) past was great. I didn't really feel convinced by some of the character's sudden changes from one side to the other, and Wolverine's obsession with Jean becomes a bit pathetic, whereas the cartoon always succeeded in showing this side of Wolverine as more human. I felt that this film could easily have been called Wolverine's film as the other characters didn't really get much of a look in, but overall, quite enjoyable and I would recommend it (especially for Hugh Jackman fans!)
