X-Men 1.5/X-Men 2 (DVD)

The X-men are a group of the most legondary and famous super heroes ever. X-men 1.5 has some extra footage and some bounus material that was never origonally in the version released at the cinema. This is great as it gives a slight bit of extra knowledge to the stories and shows you more about what is happening.

X-men 1.5.

These mutants all have individual and extrordinary abbilities, however there are two groups of people the X-men those that wish to use their powers for the greater good of humanity to help the planet. Lead by Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) the x-men are the same as the comics Storm, cyclops, Jean Grey and of course wolverine. They are against Magnetos group those that would kill humans to defend themselves as they feel they will never be excepted.

As the story unfolds you get the first glimps of Xaviers school and see the differnent Mutants and their powers and how Cyclops and wolverine cant get a long. However Magneto captures Rougue so that he can use her powers to convert the worlds most powerful people in to mutants. A fight between the X-men and magnetos crew a top the statue of liberty unfolds showing some incredible action sequences and stunts. A great film that can be enjoyed by all.

X-men 2.

After what happend at the statue of liberty Magneto is in prison however an attack on the Presidents life was made by a mutant and no one is sure of who is to blame. This time the X-men arnt facing trouble from other mutants but from the humans that they are trying to save. A United states general that blames Xavier for what happened to his son (a former student) is seeking revenge on the entire mutant population. While conducting a raid on the Xavier instiution while a large proportion of the staff are away to protect them Wolverine has to save the day.

Some of the mutants were captured and taken to Alkali lake a place that wolverine knows but cant remember. The x-men must team up with Magneto and mystique to rescue Cyclops and Xavier. However one of the heroes leanrs more about his past than he wanted to know and one of the X-men makes the ultimate sacrifice.

2 great films and great value for money, these films bought my childhood memories of the X-men cartoons to life. The stunts and action sequences were amazing and they kept getting better throughout the film.

Throughly worth it if you enjoyed the spiderman films!
