Advantages: An amazing storyline, sweet, cute, sad everything you want in this kind of film! Disadvantages: The changes from the book...I wouldn't watch after just reading the book!!
I read the book PS Ilove you by Cecilia Ahern a good few years ago now, and loved it so much, and when the film came out, I was at first very excited, and then decided I didn't want to watch it since most of the time the film of books ruins the story!
So I didn't go watch it, but I was disappointed that I hadn't when I heard peoples reviews on the film, but by that time it was too late, and I had to buy it if I wanted to watch it, but as a poor student, I didn't have money to waste on DVDs. So my only thing to do was to wait until it came back on the movie channels...
it had been so long since I had read the book that the story really wasn't in my head anymore, apart from I knew that the story revolved around a man and wife, the man dying of a brain tumour and the wife been left to get over him.
Holly and Gerry have been ...
Advantages: Nice story, scenes of Ireland Disadvantages: Not as good as the book
that it less fast paced and more down to earth and by setting the movie in New York I thought they took the magic away from the story.

I'm not sure I necessarily liked Hilary Swank in this role though. I saw Holly as being a bit of a younger character and not Hilary at all but she did an ok job. In the beginning of the film she is happy; she is married to the love of her life, Gerry. Unfortunately pretty much straight away, Gerry dies of a brain tumour. Gerry is played by Gerard ...
