Advantages: extremely accurate Disadvantages: early years of Wyatt Earp feel a touch rushed
This film is an epic western movie, based very accurately on the story of Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp. Born March 19th 1848. Wyatt would come to spend his adult years during the wildest period of the frontier. WyattEarp became legendary as a lawman, and his greatest feats are being the man to clean up Dodge City {One of the most violent frontier towns in the wild west} and for the Gunfight at the O.K Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. This film came out a touch later than the fantastic Tombstone starring Kurt Russel playing WyattEarp. However, unlike Tombstobe this is a biography of the entire life of the boy, the man, the legend. I first watched this movie in the cinema, and as soon as possible purchased it on DVD.
WyattEarp is a lenghty movie, but needs to be, to get as much information across as possible about the man. Initially the film ...

Advantages: Great writing, edge of your seat action, and some hilarious comic scenes Disadvantages: None
A great movie, and in my opinion it is a must see for any western fan, the performances are spectacular. Kurt Russell gives a fine performance as the tough no nonsense lawman WyattEarp and Val Kilmer is sublime as the loveable rogue Doc Holliday.
Set in the town of Tombstone, it follows the Earp brothers as they try to make their way in the "New West".
Moving storylines go hand in hand with "rootin' tootin" action, with gunfights, saloon brawls, and everything you could hope to expect from a western.
For me it is the best western I have seen by far, as i am not normally a fan of the genre, I could watch this movie again and again, in fact, i might pop it on now...... ...

a Kitty on the Rocks.Patents pending.A nice Jack Daniels or Jim Beam warms the stomach..and the more you drink the more you slur.Great stuff. You get to sound like a proper drunk.
I used to drink Vodka when I went out..mostly with coke. The trouble is that Pube seem to really water it down and I end up in the ladies all night.I do like to taste the grog Mr Water it down barman! And no matter how many times you tell them..they still fill the glass with coke to the brim.Drowning out any possible taste of the Vodka which is somewhere mixed in it.
I can also be swayed to a nice Brandy. One of the drinks that I really do not like is Southern Comfort.Too sweet, too sickly and it reminds me of vomit.Hence the title of my review..as when you gag I think it sounds like you are yelling ' Wyatt Erp' into the toilet bowl.Although this is in dispute since ...
The story of Wyatt Earp and his family which is more of a documentary than a Hollywood drama. It shows us the good times and the bad times of one of the West's greatest heroes.

DVD Description
Epic biography about legendary cowboy Wyatt Earp. The film spans Earp's life, from his youth, when blood and gore made him deeply uncomfortable, to his role in the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral, to his becoming a rigid, by-the-book sheriff. Also dramatized are Earp's relationships with his brothers and their wives, and with loyal friend Doc Holliday, who is dying of tuberculosis. An epic (at least in length), this dark film stars Kevin Costner as Earp, Gene Hackman as his wilful father and Dennis Quaid as Doc Holiday.
