So how come I hadn't heard about this Wu-Tang concert, when clearly, after buying the DVD of it in my local music store for a bargain price of £7.99, it was the ultimate in Wu experience.
History ------------
For those that aren't familiar with the Wu-Tang Clan, they are for many, (including myself) the ultimate in Hip Hop. From Staten Island where the clan grew up together, originates this ultra pure form of Hip Hop. Members of the Wu are also known for solo careers and often appear on other well known artists tracks. Method man, the late, Old Dirty Bastard, Rza, Gza, Inspecta Deck, U-God, Raeqwan, The Chef and Ghostface Killa are the main members of the ferocious clan each with their own distinct style but still unmistakeably Wu!
DVD in General -------------------------
So this DVD is a complete must have for all Wu/Hip Hop fans as it contains 32 of the Wu's great tracks and undoubtedly great tracks in Hip Hop History. I may have not been in California back in August 2004 but with the volume up loud enough on the speakers and the DVD playing through the widescreen I felt as though I was there.
The beauty of this DVD is that you have the option to play in concert mode(as if you were there) or to play in story mode (where you get loads of bonus footage of the Clans members in interviews). Special features are limited with only 2 videos from their tracks but who needs special features when you have nearly 2 hours of gritty classic hip hop..
With so many tracks on this DVD there is something for every hip hop fan. New and old mixed in well to drive the crowd into a frenzy! Classics such as Reunited, from their album Wu-Tang 4 ever, Triumph, Bring the pain and C.R.E.A.M to mention a mere few. The clan altogether on stage represented a milestone in history, one due the recent death of Old Dirty Bastard (RIP), not to be repeated or forgotten.
The Wu-Tangs powerful, intellectual and gritty lyrics performed live is not something to miss. A great DVD from the great Wu-Tang Clan.
WU-Tang 4Ever! Peace!

Conclusion -----------------
The whole way through the DVD i was stuck with my face to the screen and my head bouncing. I wold certaily recommend this album to all Wu-Tang fans. This really insn't for people that aren't into Hip Hop as it is the hardest and rawest form. i love this DVD and watch it so often - Wu-Tang you have done it again!!!
Thanks for reading x x x
