Advantages: Nostalgic memories aplenty and a great series for the next generation Disadvantages: Poorer quality produced on DVD and taken directly of origional film.
Scatterbrook. The local farmer and his wife let the family live in a Gypsy Caravan in the farmyard, the children soon meet Worzel and befriend him and soon find themselves in a lot of trouble because of him. Worzel gets himself involved with a genuine fairground Aunt Sally played by Una Stubbs (Summer Holiday, 'till Death Us Do Part) and falls in love with her only to be constantly shunned and humiliated by her selfish nature. Many adventures follows over the Series 1 and into the following 3 British and 2 New Zealand series.

many different heads, made from Turnips and Swedes, which he changes depending on what he has to do that day? such as a thinking head for thinking, a counting head for counting, a brave head for bravery and so on?
He has been besotted with an Aunt Sally, who has no relationship interest for the scruffy turnip head, although is happy to see the daft straw man doing everything she wants him to do, regardless of what troubles it may cause? and believe me, the troubles escalated on a daily basis?
During Worzels early days he meet many colourful characters, mainly scarecrows and other dummies which seem to come to life, but especially SaucyNancy, (played by Barbara Windsor), a ships figure head who, for some reason makes Aunt Sally jealous..?
Each episode tends to see Worzel in one scrape or another, usually involving Aunt Sally but sometimes ...
Advantages: great family fun for all Disadvantages: the threat of a remake... big mistake IMO
and Sue to discover has found a job with Mrs Bloomsbury-Barton as a maid. Unfortunately Worzel decides to pay her a visit, much to the horror of all.

Three adventures for Worzel in 'The Scarecrow Hop', 'Worzel And The Saucy Nancy' and 'Worzel's Nephew'. 'In 'Worzel's Nephew' Pickles Bramble pays a visit to Worzel. He finds work at the Braithwaite Farm, but somehow Worzel seems to be doing all the work!
