This DVD tells the story of the 9-11 attacks that shocked the world when 2 planes flew into the World Center Towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington. This film focuses on the attacks in New York and the focus is on a team of police officers who risked their lives by going into the towers trying to rescue all the innocent people. When the team of police officers are in the building after getting equipment to help them with their search the building collapses and they get trapped. After the police officers get trapped the film focuses on the officers and then back to their families who are anxiously awaiting news about their brave loved ones. The film is directed by Oliver Stone and stars Oscar winner Nicholas Cage as Sergent John McLoughlin and Michael Pena as Will Jemeno.
Everyone can remember exactly what they were doing as news of the attacks hit the news. This film depicts the bravery and togetherness that humans do have as the main focus was to get everybody out alive.
What I didnt like about the storyline was that although it focused on the brave rescue attempts by the paramedics, marines, police officers, and firemen, it focused too much on the officers that were trapped and their families but hardly focused on the people that witnessed it and the other victims of these horrid attacks. If Oliver Stone had done this, I think he would have made an epic of this film but the way it was filmed and directed made me want to sleep in parts even though it is not the type of storyline or film that I would fall asleep whilst watching usually.

Advantages: Assists in educating those that know not of the events that took place. Disadvantages: Poorly scripted, makes a mockery of the great effort that went into rescue.
