land known to the locals as God's Country. From its world famous sandy beaches to the hustle and bustle of its young cities, Australia is never far from the top of most voyagers' wish list. What better way to experience this remarkable island as we travel up the east coast from Brisbane to Cairns and on to the rainforests of Kuranda than aboard the world class train, the Great South Pacific Express. The diversity and magic of the scenery is matched only by the opulence, first-class service and exceptional cuisine received aboard the red and cream liveried carriages.
Advantages: Good actor voices, good atmosphere and you do get to solve crimes. Disadvantages: Some changes compared to the book, very repetitive, lacks locations to explore.

GETTING THERE:
We arrived at the airport after a flight from Birmingham via Amsterdam and having read a number of reviews about the taxis from the airport and their enthusiasm for speed and reluctance to accept a fair fare or take four people in one taxi, we choose to book an airport transfer. We were met by a gentleman with our name on his notice and then escorted to a taxi outside. The journey was quite speedy but incident free, a couple of hairy moments, some very close ...

BEHIND THE SCENES/CAST
The first of a series of four Agatha Christie films to be released during the 1970's - 80's, 'Murder on the OrientExpress' found great success with a wide audience and has stayed a firm favourite with movie fans the world over since. Due mainly to the strength of its plot and the acting ability of the ensemble cast its success has led to it being put out in a DVD format alone, rather than in a box set with the other three.

Lauren Bacall plays the American Mrs Hubbard who irritates and annoys the entire journey. The stellar cast also includes an Oscar winning performance ...
Another luxurious excursion through exotic locations, this time riding the classical style 'Budd' cars restored to their former glory for their journey into the near-wilderness of the Copper Canyon.

DVD Description
Catch a glimpse of the past as seen though the windows of a rolling museum of steam and steel. This series travels the paths of the world's most luxurious trains and resurrects a bygone era when the journey--rather than the destination--was the most significant part of the experience. This volume follows the vintage-era South Orient Express as it journeys through the Copper Canyon area of northern Mexico. Covering an area larger than the Grand Canyon and nestled in the rugged Sierra Madres, Copper Canyon boasts breathtaking views of natural wonders such as cascading waterfalls, sagebrush-dotted vistas, and the rustic villages of the native Indian peoples.
