Advantages: Good dance sequences. Disadvantages: Not much going on in the plot.
...Hello Ciaoers! I'm back with another film review (hehe), on a genre I wouldn't normally watch....Centre Stage.
As always, I've got a couple of quotes for you to get the idea of what others think of this film! Look below.......
"An unexpected pleasure" -
MARY MURFIN BAYLEY - Seattle Times
"Centre Stage has moments of joy and moments of insight" -
ROGER EDBERT - Chicago Sun Times
This film has a 12 certificate with mild languages and mild sex/nudity scenes, so parents might want to watch this first before letting their kids lose with it!
Running Time - 110 minutes
Can be bought for about £7.99 on VHS although these days it's possible it's on DVD! I got my VHS copy from HMV for about £5, but I'm sure other places like Amazon, WHSmiths will have different prices!
Fun bit now...yippee!!
If you loved films like "Bring It On...

Advantages: Excellent singing Disadvantages: Richard Gere was not at his best!
...The film version of Bob Fosse's musical. Set in 1929 Chicago, the film tells the story of the improbable rise and fall and rise of an ambitious chorus girl.
Cast:
Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Richard Gere
According to the character Roxie, all the world is a stage, and in this movie everyone has their moment in the spotlight using jazz songs to get their message out. Catherine Zeta Jones was excellent in this movie and I honestly did not realise how ell she could sing. Renee Zellwegger played her role very well.
Overall it was a great movie and something I would watch many times over. Definitely worth a watch. I would definitely watch this over and over, but I have to admit, that you cannot beat seeing Chicago at the theatre!...

Advantages: Great feel good film Disadvantages: none
...Medved, Sneak Previews.
The menus are static and are about as basic as they can possibly be. Again it looks like all the goodies are now included on the new SE versionThis is a romantic, pink and fluffy movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan meeting on the top of the Empire State Building in New York, Ryan having heard Hanks on a radio phone-in show. Hank’s 8 year old screen son looks like he has just graduated from the Hollywood Cute Kid school, and will no doubt make many of the audience go ‘Aahhh!!’.
The DVD is very basic however, and therefore the recommendation has to be to go for the newer Special Edition version, which has been released at the same price I believe!...
