Advantages: Cringeworthingly excellent Disadvantages: Not enough cheesy sequels!
...WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Terry O'Quinn plays phsychotic family man turned axe murderer Jerry Blake in his quest to find the perfect family to marry in to. After eluding police (more of a master of disguise than Hannibal Smith) following the murder of his last family, Blake finds solace as an estate agent (who gave this guy references!!!??) in a suburb town and settles in with a widow and her teenage daughter. The film is full of twists and turns, a couple of murders and some devious plotting from his teenage stepdaughter who proves his ultimate undoing.
WHO ARE THE CHARACTERS?
Jerry Blake is the undoubted main character in the Stepfather cornfest. He plays a phsychotic wannabe family man but quite clearly has none of the qualities required, despite the other characters inability to notice this!

...Toy Story II is even better than the original! Again following the tales of Woody and Buzz Lightyear through their topsy turvy lives, the characters get into new and even stickier situations! In this film, Woody is stolen from a yard sale by a man crazed with Woody's Round Up (a 50's children's show starring Woody). Buzz Lightyear, along with Hamm, Slinky and some other friends, set out to rescue him from Al's Toy Barn without risking their own toy hides. Kids will love this film as well as adults.... definitely something for the whole family to watch....

The clever centrepoint to the films stern atmosphere is the houses interior, crude painting hang in front of peeling wallpaper, ancient antique furniture it almost seems as if the house is ageing with Blake. Together with the eerie interior of the ghostly house are the constantly ignored phonecalls ringing. Blake for instance preparing some cereal while a loud phone starts ringing in the next room but the way Blake casually ignores it seems almost as if the phone doesn't exist to him, the whole experience is extremely haunting to watch.
The music is perhaps one of the most exceptional qualities this film holds to it's name. The scene where Blake's alone in the house and starts with a simple guitar melody which builds up and flows into another eerie Kashmir kind of melody and Blake starts...
