Synopsis

They believe him to be just like the the romantic leading men that he always plays. Over in Hollywood, work of latehas kind of dried up for Tad, he's been papped driving while drinking and smoking and groping a wanna be actress all at the sametime. His agents decide they need to take action to clean up Tad's image and get the work back in. They decide to run a national competiton to win a date with the star himself . To enter the competion a entrants need to raise a 100 dollar dontation for a children's charity. Rosale enters the competeion and wins much to the dismay of Pete. after the date Rosalee returns to her normal life with some great memories but as it turns out she had quite the effect on Tad and he shows up in her hometown. Tad wants a to spend some time with Rosalee (platonically) so some of her wholsome godness might rub off on him. Things don't stay platonic for long and poor Pete is very upset as he wanted Rosalee to accompany him when he leaves town for good.

My Opnion I quite like romcoms, they are predictable usually but also funny and sweet which as long as there is good story to back it all up with can make them quite enjoyable easy viewing. Unfortuanately that is not the case here. I'd wanted to see this for some time and finally got round to watching today while recovering froma hangover. I'd seen a few clips of the film and looked quite fun and Josh Duchamel and Topher Grace are very easy on the eye so I was quite looking forward to it. This film actually made my hangover feel worse. It's described as a a romcom but therre really isn't anything funny about it, i couldn't even raise a grin. The storyline and plot are very poor indeed, there are no memorable lines anywhere in the film. As for the perormances, to be fair they didn't have a lot to work with but Kate Bosworth actually seemed a little wooden and none of the cast stood out . The whole experience was like pulling teth, i was going to turn it off but then I thought I would have to post a review on here telling everybody else not to waste an hour and a half of their lives watching this turkey.

Tad Hamilton who is played by Josh Duhamel enjoys his date with Rosalee so much he ends up turning up to her small-town when she's gone home, which is wonderful for her but complete and utter chaos for her best friend Pete (Topher Grace) who is secretly and madly in love with her too. The casting:
Josh Duhamel plays the all raving, wild partying actor ... ...time for this film. The rating on this film is good because there is only reference to sex once or twice likewise with mild language. Grab yourself a treat!! Buy " Win a date with tad Hamilton!" which is by the same director as Legally Bond! ...

Advantages: Chick Flick for one of those days. Disadvantages: Unoriginal story line and Predictable
Win a date with Tad Hamilton is a movie about a girl called Rosalee Flutch (Kate Bosworth) who's a "normal" girl working in a supermarket and who a date with her favourite celeb - Tad Hamilton (Josh Duhamel). He falls in love with he - or so it seems - while her best friend Pete (Topher Grace) is deeply in love with her back home. This movie has a running time of 1 hr 32 mins. The DVD extras are approx 28 mins. That's a total of 2 hours!!!
The bonus ... ...Subtitles include: English SDH, German and Turkish. Languages include English and German. I feel that this movie has a very unoriginal and predictable story line. However, it's a great chick flick for one those days. Cute actors (well that's if you like them or not). It's not a thrilling experience and doesn't involve much emotion, but is quite funny in part. I didn't think it was anything great, but then that's my personal opinion

Robert Luketic, the director of LEGALLY BLONDE, helms this retro romantic comedy that stars Kate Bosworth as Rosalee Futch, a modern day Sandra Dee embroiled in a whirlwind love triangle. Rosalee, a naively innocent small-town girl works at her local Piggly Wiggly and dreams of love with movie hunk Tad Hamilton (Josh Duhamel) unaware that her best friend and manager Pete (Topher Grace) is secretly in love with her but afraid to tell her how he really feels. Meanwhile, in Hollywood, Tad Hamilton's bad boy image needs some revamping so his managers (played by Nathan Lane and Sean Hayes) cook up a charity contest to WIN A DATE WITH TAD HAMILTON! in an effort to clean up his act. In West Virginia, Rosalee enters and surprisingly wins, and is instantly whisked away to Los Angeles for a tabloid perfect dream date complete with a stretch limo and make-over, much to the chagrin of tortured Pete. What begins as a publicity stunt becomes much more serious as Tad becomes smitten by Rosalee's innocence and honesty. Within days he follows Rosalee back to West Virginia, buys a house, and declares his love to her, shocking not only Rosalee but also the entire town, especially Pete. Back home, Rosalee is forced to choose between a fantasy romance with Tad or the real life love possible with Pete in this classic 1950s style romance that harkens back to the days of Elvis Presley and Sandra Dee.
