OH MR PORTER Director: Marcel Varnel Writers: Frank Launder and J.O.C. Orton Starring Moore marriott and graham moffatt
The film starts with Will as a wheel tapper at the local train station, and he is asked "why he taps wheels" to which he replies "if theres a clang the wheels there, if theres no clang the trains left"! He has had every job there is, and he's useless at them all. So his sister threatens her husband that he will have to come and live with THEM if he's not found a suitable job. His brother in law, fearing hell never ever have a sock to call his own again, finds Will a job as a station master at Buggleskelly in Northern Ireland. Will finally arrives at Buggleskelly and here he meets his 2 long standing comedic friends albert andJeremiah Harbottle. There are various funnies along the way but basically the plot from here is, a ghost (not really) called 1 eyed Joe, gangsters gunrunning and Will hiring them a train because he thinks they're playing a football match. The train goes into tunnel but doesn't come out the otherside. upon invetigation the 3 friends find the gun runners and end up stealling the gun laden train along with the gun runners inside. They hilariously throw a bottle from the speeding train through a passing signal mans window alerting the police. The heros eventually crash into a station bad guys and all, where the police are waiting to arrest the gun runners A super film that delivers the laughs, you will not be disappointed.
CONVICT 99 Director: Marcel Varnel Writers: Cyril Campion and Jack Davis Jr. Starring Moore marriott and graham moffatt
Will is BENJAMIN TWIST, a useless school teacher and sponging of his inlaws is about to come to an end. He applies for the position of head techer at a private school but due to comic mix ups ends up being offered the job of warden at a prison. Will gets drunk, and is mistaken for a convict who escapes just as will is drunkenlly entering the prison. Again albert is here as a guard and the old man as a nutty tunnel digger, Jerry the mole. Eventually the mistake is realised when the real convict 99 is captured doing another robbery and Will takes over the prison calling the inmates 'my boys'. The prisoners run rings around him, being served tea in the morning by the guards, newspapers delivered, betting on the pools etc.... The pools come up !!! but the money is stolen from Will by the very convict that escaped in the first place, who escapes again! convict 99. The prisoners leave prison with Will all dressed as policemen break into a bank, then get their money back off convct99, then get back into prison before anyone realises.
i suppose i am an old comedy fan, it was always honest simple and mostly unoffensive comedy.
There are no extras with this dvd, just chapter selection. the quality however is perfect.

You've given a decent outline of the plots, but to reliably get the higher ratings you need to give more of your personal opinion on things like characters, storyline, acting, musical score, etc. There are loads of good film reviews to illustrate what I mean (though my own are far from the best examples!).
