Will is a lawyer and Grace is an interior designer, who has a secretary ( Karen) who is too rich and snobbish to be working, therefore she doesn’t do any work around the office. Instead she just makes cracks at Grace's sense of style and hair. (Karen does have a point here) Karen is also one of the main characters. She is the quirkiest because she says what she think.I also think she is one of the funniest characters because she is so mean with her bluntness.(usually that is what makes great humour)
Theirs Jack, who is Will’s best friend. Jack has a very flamboyant personality, he is not afraid to scrounge of his best friend or be who is, he carries himself with pride.
The humour in the show is camp and fast at times. Its not clever, but the first few shows I watched the jokes were well timed and were delivered smoothly, and the characters come across as likeable, interesting and funny.
Having seen all of this series, I became bored. The jokes became very predictable and the characters very annoying. Grace being the most annoying of all, she is neurotic, self obsessed, and has low self esteem. She is anything but funny. Will also became predictable. That leaves Karen who’s the best of all the characters and Jack who is also funniest.
The characters haven't been developed well enough and don't have the depth, which is needed in order to keep interest in the show. The humour becomes repetitive even if the scenarios have changed. The characters don't seem to develop, and real life scenarios aren’t used to make great funny episodes.
I'm afraid some of you like me may tire of this series. It’s not one I would rush to buy or watch.
Will & Grace is about two BEST friends Will a gay lawyer and Grace an interior designer. By the end of episode 3 you'll pretty much know how these characters interact and be able to sit back and enjoy the rest. These two best friends live together and this is where most of the interaction is focus. Regular supporting character include Jack - Will's best friend and Karen - Grace's Assistant who surprising does'nt seem to assist much. Whitty, funny ...
