premise concerns Will (Eric McCormack), a mildly uptight lawyer who agrees to have as a flatmate his best friend, interior designer Grace (Debra Messing). Their relationship has all the hallmarks of lovers--emotional dependency, little things that get on each others' nerves, strong mutual interests and volcanic arguments. The only snag is that while Grace is straight, Will is gay.Though not shy of poking sharp fun at that situation,Will and Graceis among sitcom's most potent and sophisticated antidotes to homophobia. Though initially a little too pleased with its own camp pertness, the show grows and grows on you with successive episodes, finally becoming indispensable. It also benefits from secondary characters Jack (Sean P Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally), also gay and straight respectively, both outrageously and hilariously irresponsible characters: he a free spirit and freeloader, she's "working" as Grace's assistant even though she doesn't need the money, having married it.Despite its diamond and rapid-fire punchlines,Will and Graceconveys enough sense of the main characters' lovelorn predicament to prevent it from becoming too cute. --David Stubbs

Advantages: Funny show. Disadvantages: Very stereotypical.
of the stars in the UK and the USA, and that is only a handful of the famous celebs that featured in Will & Grace.
Some of the best episodes include the likes of Kevin Bacon playing himself, Jack is stalking him or something, and Will intervenes but ends up doing that Footloose dance thing at the end. Brilliant! Matt Damon's episode is also great, he plays a 'straight' choir boy, who's pretending to be gay. He and Jack have a sing off and end up fighting.
Jack has always had an obsession with Cher, so who did they hire to sit in a restaurant in one episode, you got it Cher, this is really funny episode as Jack doesn't believe it's Cher because she can't sing as well as him. Grace's main love interests played by Woody Harrelson and Harry Connick Jnr are brilliant, especially the latter. They really managed to fit in with the show ...

Advantages: hilarious Disadvantages: can they ever find true love?
Is there anyone out there who HASN'T watched, or heard of, "Will and Grace"? It has recently become one of my favourite sitcoms so I decided to spread the word and review it in order to convince the unitiated to watch it - or the non-believers to give it another chance!
I originally started watching "Will and Grace" when it first aired on Channel Four several years ago, at the time purely because there was nothing else decent on at the same time and it was a pleasant enough way to pass half an hour on a boring Friday night in. Then, after I moved out of my parents, I found my flatmate at the time had the first two series on dvd and we used to have "Will and Grace" marathons. I was officially hooked. After that I would drive my (ex) boyfriend mad watching reruns of it on Living when I was over at his flat.
So let me convert YOU now ...
Advantages: Cracks me up with laughter Disadvantages: Only on for half an hour
To start you off and give you a general idea I will list the lead characters in this excellent US sitcom.
THE CAST
Will Trueman (Eric McCormack) is a lawyer.
Grace Adler (Debra Messing) is an Interior Disigner.
Jack McFarland (Sean Hughes) is an out of work actor.
Karen Walker (Megan Mullally) is a mega rich woman/floozy who works for Grace.
And not forgetting the wonderful Shelley Morrison (Rosa) who plays Karen`s maid.
I believe that if the producers of this show had chosen others actors for these roles, the show would not be the hit it is today.
I have been wathcing Will & Grace for a good while now and it is great to see that the storylines are still strong ...
