It is 10 hours of TV reduced to 76 mins - why? It would have been so much better to have each episode in full. With the 76 min feature (as sold here as an added extra) which is all it really is.
What is more the DVD sells itself as being a useful resource for information on tracing your family tree. It is not. Anyone with one GCSE (or even 11+) could guess at the information contained ie. that birth, marriage and death records, and census records are an important part of the research. This programme simply states that and give no practical guidance..
All I can say is that it is a good job the series is being re-run on digital tv.
