When I first heard about this film I was somewhat sceptical about it, I mean... c'mon black people pretending to be white. I was a bit worried that it might cause too much controversy and put racism in the spotlight. But I was very much surprised, as not only did it not come across like this, but also it has become one of my favourite all time films!!!
After FBI agents Kevin (Shawn Wayans) and Marcus (Marlon Wayans) Copeland make a complete and utter shambles of an undercover sting operation at a local grocery store, they get relegated to acting as chauffeurs on their next assignment - picking up heiresses Tiffany and Brittany Wilson from the airport and drive them to the Hamptons, where the bureau will tail the socialites who are believed to be targets in a kidnapping plot. But it seems these two agents can't even get this simple task right, and they end up causing the Wilson sisters to get scraped faces whilst trying to save their dog from falling out of the car window. Tiffany and Brittany refuse to go to the Hamptons with their faces scraped up and are coaxed to stay inside a hotel room for the whole weekend. To avoid getting chewed out by the bureau chief yet again, Marcus and Kevin decide to impersonate the heiresses and foil the kidnapping plot themselves. They call an in FBI buddy who happens to be a makeup genius and he transforms them into lookalikes of the firls. And with everyone getting collagen lip-enhancements, the Copeland brothers are easily able to pass themselves off as the Wilson sisters.
Don't worry too much about the plot; you'll be so fascinated by the Wayans in whiteface that you'll forget all about it. The make-up is spectacularly done!
I absolutely adore this film, as it is a brilliant, tongue-in-cheek look at the shallow American teenage girl world, but it also brings humour from every angle and I was literally laughing out loud at many of the situations that the Copeland brothers managed to get into.
Not really a kids film, but teenagers and above will definately appreciate this film!!!
