When Harry Met Sally...no one laughed

Advantages: Meg Ryan's not too bad
Disadvantages: Emotional, inner feelings, girlie film

Often cited as one of the funniest films of recent years(ish) When harry Met Sally has built up a mystique of being a rambunctious(?) comedy that will keep you entertained time and time again - True or false? The film follows the numerous meetings of Harry and Sally across several years. From college friends of friends who travel to New York together the pair accidentally meet up again and again, catching up on the 'news' and slowly growing to become close friends. With failed marriages, romances, and relationships to discuss the two finally succumb to the inevitable and sleep together. Will this spoil a perfect friendship? You'll have to find out for yourself... But is this a good film? Does it live up to the hype? Hmmm. Actually it does start off well and the early scenes have a lot of promise. Sadly things get progressively less ...

When Spacemonkey Met Harry and Sally

Advantages: Great story, great performances
Disadvantages: You could go on a bad night, and feel like I've betrayed you!

Spacemonkey's Ciao renaissance continues! On my return to the site, I noticed a few changes, most importantly, the extended categories. Taking it upon myself to end this travesty, I requested the new category be introduced, and introduced it was - job done, everyone's happy. Then it hit me - I really should write something now... I'm fairly confident that at least 90% will have either seen or heard of Nora Ephron's classic 1989 film version of When Harry Met Sally, which starred Billy ...

I'll Have What She's Having

Advantages: Very funny, endearing, relatable, fantastic script
Disadvantages: None

however he?s still a realist at heart. The pair chat whilst on a plane and once again go their separate ways only to meet another 5 years later. This time they are both single and living in the same area, they talk and get on like a house on fire. There?s a huge chemistry between them but as they are both recently out of relationships they just decide to be friends. Little do they know that they are about to test the burning question of can men and women ever JUST be friends? When asked what your favourite romantic comedy of all time is it?s very likely that out of 10 answers, When Harry Met Sally is likely to crop up at least a couple of times and there?s a very good reason for that. When Harry Met Sally is probably the definitive romantic comedy, it has a bit of everything that makes a good romantic comedy whilst still managing to remain ...
