What Happens in Vegas is an American romantic comedy film released in the United Kingdom on May 9th 2008. The film stars Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Running time of the movie is ninety nine minutes (a few minutes over an hour and a half). This movie is a certificated 12.
Joy and Jack wake up as married strangers after a night in las Vegas. Regretting their quick-let's-get-married-decision , they agree on getting a divorce. But what will happen when Jack wins the $3 million jackpot , using Joy's quater? Will they get divorced anyway or will they give a try at their relationship ? Watch What Happens In Vegas to find out!
The minute I saw this film advertised I had a feeling it was something I was going to enjoy watching. I wasn't disappointed either! There are certainly a lot of laughs to be had! I simply , laughed from beginning to end.
This movie definately isn't real-to-life , but I found it a pleasure to watch whilst 'escaping to another world' after a hard day at work! The whole 'Las Vegas thing' has never appealed to me , but still I found the film intersting to watch. It is slightly predictable but sometimes it's nice to chill out and watch a film which doesn't require too much thinking. This is the kind of film that you can enjoy whether you watch it alone or with a bunch of friends. It's also the kind of film that you can watch over and over again without getting tired of it.
I thought the director had made a fantastic decision choosing Cameron Diaz an Ashton Kutcher as the main characters , in my point of view anyway , as I am quite a big fan of theirs from what I have seen of them previously in their other films (Kutcher in Guess Who and Diaz in My Sister's Keeper). Although the film is a little far-fetched I still found that they had great chemistry and this was clearly visible to the viewer. I found the characters to be interesting and different. I found their attitude towards eachother in the film was hilarious , although I must admit I did find Ashton Kutcher's humour very humourous!
I have heard many bad reviews concerning this film , however I cannot disagree anymore. I thought this film was great ; funny , romantic (in some places) and just a great film to chill out and relax too , even if it was slightly predictable , but hey it did the job and kept me entertained!
I recommend watching What Happens In Vegas especially if your after a feel good film , or something simple yet funny to watch !
