Guess What? John Wayne is a cowboy, Again!
Advantages: Lovely scenery, great music, average story

At the very start of this film we see John Chisum sitting on his horse looking out over his vast expanse of land and his cattle which are grazing on it. Next we meet a gang member and his gang who are paid by a man called Brady to go after Chisum and kill him so that his land will become available. The gang go after Chisum’s cattle and shoot it so Chisum goes to find them and after a ...

Chisum is then making his way to the town to collect his niece who is coming to stay with him but once he gets into town he finds that lots of the properties have been bought by a man called Murphy. Murphy is trying to take over the whole of the town and the surrounding land. Chisum is also introduced by Murphy to the new sheriff, which turns out to be Brady.

The best version of the Billy the Kid story
Advantages: funny, action, good actors,
Disadvantages: none
Continuing the story from The Young Guns, this is definitely an improvement over the first film Young Guns, and the first part was very good. This film plays out the story of Billy the Kid to the conclusion, with the controversial shooting in the back, in a dark room with Pat Garret. The film begins with an old man standing with a burro. eventually a car {early 1900's version} pulls up and a lawyer approaches the figure "Bonny?....William H, Bonny, ...

The Connancheros/The Undefeated
Advantages: Two John Wayne movies in a set
Disadvantages: Both have been on TV several Times
Both of these movies have been on Tv several times before, so I will not dwell on their plots. If , like me, you love John Wayne or are collecting his movies you will buy these anyway, if not well, I'll just say they are not among his best movies.
Much of Wayne's best work was done with Director John Ford (Stagecoach), in others he simply goes through the motions. In these two movies, it is the motion phase,don't get me wrong both of these movies ...

Classic title and movie
Advantages: excellant viewing for a reasonable price
Disadvantages: none
This is well worth the watch. Found plenty action in this film and a few twists along the way which gave you plenty to keep your interest. The plot is portrayed very well. I can honestly say that even though this film has been on television often it was well worth having the DVD as we can watch at our leisure and it will be watched many times.
