Don't bully me Jack
Review of The Jack Bull DVD by
tayloa22
Advantages: Good acting and a good story
Disadvantages: None
The Jack Bull- A Review By Addy
The Jack bull is based on based on a novel by Heinrich von Kleist called Michael Kohlhaas. This made for Television film was released in 1999. The Jack Bull film is a western film that relies more on a heavily entertaining plot rather than all out action for entertainment.
Jack Bull: A metaphorical Jack Russell terrier that, once it's annoyed enough to close its jaws on something, will hang on to the point of ... ...Synopsis

Geronimo
Review of Geronimo DVD by
irishlad20
Advantages: Loads of Action, Shooting incidents, Good Actors
Disadvantages: Some battles were not historically accurate
...The Apaches are led by Geronimo played by Wes Studi and are refusing to give up their land without a fight. The film has many battles and some are quite gruesome. In the film Geronimo is portrayed as a fierce warrior, but also someone who you can grow to like as there are many examples of him having friendships with US Army personell especially lieutienant Gatewood. However he can be deadly to people who stand in his or his people's way.
The film ... ...an Apache Scout to find Geronimo and convince him to surrender. However in the end the Apaches are shaped to florida to go to jail and so are the Apache Scouts that helped the Army. It is in the train when you see one of the main scouts telling Geronimo how he wished he didn't join the army but helped the Apache but another Indian tells the Scout that because of his actions he would be hated forever. I thought this was a significant part of the film ...

When worlds collide.
Review of Dances With Wolves DVD by
steerpyke
Advantages: A refreshing portrayal of the American west
Disadvantages: a long film
...to be given Kevin Costners Dances With Wolves. The story is straight forward, Costner plays John Dunbar, a lieutenant in the Cival War who is rewarded for an act of heroism with the posting of his choice. Jaded of the decadance of the officer elite of the army and desperate to see the fast disappearing frontier he takes a position in an isolated frontier fort. When he gets there it is desserted, but true to his orders he repairs the place and waits ... ...glorify the white hero. In Dances with Wolves, they are as filled out and have as much depth as any of the other parts, their ways, lives, loves and fears are played with reality and humour, with honest and insight and for the first time we see the other side of the coin. The interactions between Dunbar and the Sioux are well thought out, these are meant to be two races that have no experience of each other, and as such are cautious and curious of ...

Last train to yuma - or is it!?!
Review of 3:10 To Yuma DVD by
madcat86
Advantages: Cracking Western
Disadvantages: ..
I loved this film. I've not seen a good western in a long time and it is about time we saw some more. You can't beat some good guy - bad guy action, smith 'n' westerns, lucky hats and obedient horses.
This film is about a infamous criminal (Russel Crowe) being transported to justice (the train to yuma) by a honest rancher (ex -army -sharpshooter -Christian Bale) just trying to earn a little extra cash to keep a hold of his land and gain the respect ... ...for any man as russel crowe's gang of theiving crooks are hot on the sheriffs tail attempting to save their leader from the strong arm of the law.
Russel Crowe plays an incredable part in this film. Not only is he a lier, theif and killer he also respects Christian Bale for his actions through-out the film. Thus making his role in the film more admirable. Christian Bale's character has much to be admired. He obides by the law and general good will. ...
