The Great Gold hunt

Advantages: Great action scenes and a very interesting story line...
Disadvantages: Not many

Review of MacKenna's Gold (DVD)

They just don't make them like they used to

Advantages: Riveting, four main stars, the score, the direction, where shall I stop?
Disadvantages: None for me, although it's long and slow, which may not be your cup of tea

...here for inspiration, too. Once Upon A Time In The West has been released on various DVD formats. Sadly, I only have the privilege of having seen it as a film only production, but I'm likely to go and buy the film in all its glory and plethora of extras. Rarely am I bothered by extras, but this may just be the one exception. ...

Geronimo

Advantages: Loads of Action, Shooting incidents, Good Actors
Disadvantages: Some battles were not historically accurate

Wanting to Die as he Lived!

Advantages: Good story, good acting
Disadvantages: A Western, John Wayne!

The Shootist was John Wayne’s last ever film as he soon after dies. I was forced to watch this by hubby as it was his turn to pick what we watched. I have to say that it wasn’t too bad and probably the best one I have seen John Wayne in, so far! John Wayne plays the role of John Bernard Brooks who finds out that he is dying of cancer.
