...be expected from the western 3:10 to Yuma with such actors as Russell Crowe(such films as Gladiator) and Christian Bale(Batman) however after the successfulness of James Mangold Walk the Line, this film has failed to provide a adequate supply of the thrilling scenes which Westerns have come to give us. ...look at the legend of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Released in this new form it adds extra scenes which give more character study although in places it does seem like there are still parts missing. Nevertheless it is a beautifully shot film which due to the subject matter has a sense of inevitable doom about it. Your dropped right into the action from the start but given no explanation why, you won't find out the reasons behind why a group of men are chasing 1 man until almost near the end of the movie. The main characters are Gideon (Pierce Brosnan) & Carver (Liam Neeson) with a very small supporting cast.
