Wanting to Die as he Lived!

Advantages: Good story, good acting
Disadvantages: A Western, John Wayne!

The Shootist was John Wayne’s last ever film as he soon after dies. I was forced to watch this by hubby as it was his turn to pick what we watched. I have to say that it wasn’t too bad and probably the best one I have seen John Wayne in, so far! John Wayne plays the role of John Bernard Brooks who finds out that he is dying of cancer. Advantages: Very cool, very thoughful, lots of action.
Disadvantages: Very few if any.

The first scene we see Josey Wales' family being raped and murdered by some Union riders. Advantages: Great acting, scenery
Disadvantages: None I can think of

Dunbar, not Dumb Bear!

Advantages: Fantastic visuals, Costner
Disadvantages: Can draw it out too long in places

...most powerful films to date, Dances With Wolves is a thoughtful and emotional tale that requires a bit of concentration.
