Sexy bad girls
Review of Bad Girls (Wide Screen) by kamfisa

Advantages: light and funny movie
Disadvantages: don't expect to much from it

...good for a grin. Bad girls is about 4 prostitutes (Drew Barrymore, Madeline Stowe, Andie MacDowell, Mary Stuart Masterson) who are fed up with all the men wanting them for one thing!!! They decide they deserve better and team up to travel the Old West. One of the ladies has deeds to to some land and wants to use this to set up their own ranch. But, they accidentally get involved in a robbery, and have to go on the run. I think this is a great simple, ...
...overall girl bonding feel to it. Plus, the girls look great!!!! It is a story of the depth of friendship, strength, starting over, finding love and fighting back. Who said women can't kick some butt (ok maybe in certain scenes, they show that they can't), but still a real feel good movie. Its directed by Jonathan Kaplan, and the length of the movie is 99mins. Not a long film, at all. This movie would be good viewing for everyone. ... Read review

...And all the long while Ethans obsessive hatred and lust for revenge grows ever more intense. John Fords film journeys deep into the heart of Ethan Edwards darkness. He emerges from a personally unconceded war and a couple of years of highly questionable wanderings into a settled family home and a community thats moved on. Throughout the film there are resonances from a shared and sometimes secret past. Most poignantly the hopeless, impossible love ... Read review

Review of Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (Special Edition) by wendybull

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Nothing

I first got introduced to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid via my mum, who loved this film and every time it came on the TV we would sit and watch it together. Mostly as a youngster I got bored half way through and went off to play but as I got older I watched it all the way through and soon grew to love the film. I brought it on DVD when I was an adult and have watched it numerous times over the years. The Story~~ Made in 1969 this film is ...

Costner strikes lucky on the Open Range
Review of Open Range DVD by pmcds

Advantages: Greatactingsanddirecting
Disadvantages: Very long, simple plot

...review, I would say that Open Range is a recommendable film, with great directing and acting. The plot is not overly complicated, rather simple, in fact, and follows many other films with a similar plotline. This does not stop the film being good, but limits its potential, as the combination of cinematography, directing and poignant acting is smooth, and you feel they could have given more with a more adventurous tale. Be prepared to settle in for ... Read review
