Production Year: 1956 - Westerns - Director: John Ford, Clint Eastwood, Sam Peckinpah - Original Language: English - Classification: 18 years and over more
Advantages: Excellent viewing! Disadvantages: None I can think of
...This DVDboxset is a brilliant edition to anyone's DVD collection.
It features the three movies:
Back to the future.
Back to the future part 2.
Back to the future part 3.
All 3 movies are equally as good as eachother, and are recreated with crystal clear sound and picture. There are also loads of added extras, including deleted scenes and cast biographys.
Back to the Future tells the story of a scientist in 1980's California who invents a time machine, and with the help of a local High School studen (Michael J Fox), they embark on an adventure back in time!
Part 2 continues the story, but this time they go to the future in order to change the course of history and save them from a future life of misery.
Part 3, the final episode in the trilogy sees them go back to the western times and is full of cowby capers and laugh...

Advantages: 3 Terrific Westerns Disadvantages: Box set not always cheapest option, bonus features sparse.
...movie fans. The 'Western' style may not be everyone's cup of tea however. Some may find that the lack of respect towards women throughout all 3 movies is not to their liking and for that reason I would suggest that men were more likely to enjoy them.
One word of caution before you rush out to buy the boxset is the fact that you can sometimes find the individual films sold for a price that would make the boxset more expensive. My boxset contained some Clint Eastwood 'postcard' film shots (3 in total) but that is the only 'extra' that the boxset contained, compared to the individual DVDs.
None of the DVDs have any real bonus features. There is some previously unseen footage and theatrical film trailers but by modern day DVD standards the features are sparse.
Any fan of the western genre should certainly add these films...

Advantages: Very enjoyable Disadvantages: Slightly too long
..."Two Mules for Sister Sara", whilst not a truly classic western, turns out to be a most enjoyable one, even after more than one viewing.
This movie, set in revolutionary Mexico in the 19th century, is interesting for two reasons in film history:
1. It was the last time that CLINT EASTWOOD received second billing in a movie - until A PERFECT WORLD, 1993. First place went to SHIRLEY MacLAINE who, as "Sister Sara" proved once again what a great comedienne she is, even within a serious, dramatic role.
2. It was the first time that CLINT worked with director, DON SIEGEL, a partnership that was to prove both profitable (at the box office) and fruitful (for the audience).
More about this movie later, but for now, Ciao!...
