...One reason why you might like to purchase this movie on DVD is that it's quite affordable compared to the quality of the recording and the picture. I paid it only £5.99 but at the most you can get it for £6.99.
In exchange, you will enjoy Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze chasing each other in a breathtaking story about FBI Agent Johnny Utahfrom Ohio (Reeves) who's assigned the task of stopping a band of bank robbers in Los Angeles from disseminating more panic around.
Utah's boss, Pappas (performed by Gary Busey), will support him with precious hints and a lot of humanity throughout this difficult case.
Actually Pappas' long time experience delivers the intuition that the robbers could be surfers, and so the young and bold Johnny Utah literally forces himself into the arms of pretty-blue-eyes Tyler (Lori Petty) with the sole...

Advantages: Surfing and skydiving Disadvantages: predictable and poor acting
...action and police chases. Of course, not wanting to sound sexist, the film stars Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves as eye candy for the women, and Lori Petty for the men.
The plot itself is nothing new, and has been used in a whole variety of movies and genres. In reality the plot, although totally predictable, works well as the basis for all the adrenalin packed scenes, and becomes less important as the film moves along.
The lead role of Johnny Utah is played by Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) and quite annoyingly sounds exactly like his character of Ted Logan from the Bill & Ted films. This is by no means his best performance, but he still manages to provide enough of a performance to keep you entertained. On the same...

Advantages: Excellent plot and acting, it has it all: adventure, pathos, tragedy, humour Disadvantages: None
...You have to see this movie! It is one of the best stories I have ever seen on film.
It's the tale of one man's obsession with making his vintage motorcycle go faster than any other. Burt Munro is an old age pensioner who has spent over 25 years tuning and modifying a 1920 Indian motorcycle to make it go faster than any other in its class. Less than 1000cc engine capacity if you're interested.
At the age of 69 he has the opportunity to take his motorcycle to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah USA. If only he can raise enough cash.
Needless to say he scrapes together the minimum necessary and works his passage on a ship to Los Angeles. There he buys an old banger and constructs a trailer to take his bike to Bonneville.
There are several mishaps on the way, but this is a great story with brilliant acting from Anthony Hopkins and the rest...
