The film can be described as your typical love film boy meets girl while thrown in with the other half is set in a time warp of pop culture.
There is a very funny rendition of "Love Stinks" by Adam Sandler that is a must see!
For Christmas I was bought this box set by my Fiancé knowing how much I was into my typical "chick flicks". Taking first glance at the front of the box I could already see most of my favourite actors, Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler, Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughan, Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore. I grabbed a selection box and made a bee line for my duvet cover and got tucked in.
I popped in the first Dvd.

In my personal opinion I found it really funny while its not Adam Sandlers usual comedy genre his one of lines had me in stitches and dodge costumes really added to the era.
A couple of days later I decided to pop on The wedding crashers I more up to date film. I love both vince Vaughan and Owen Wilson and couldn’t wait to see the duo together in comedy action!
The Wedding Crashers
The wedding crashers was directed by David Dobkin and first released July 2005. It is based on two lifelong best friends who are also business partners. They have a crazy hobby of attending weddings whether they are invited or not. There main purpose is to seduce women who are under illusion of marriage.
John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey (Vaughan and Wilson) become the hit of every reception, especially the wedding of Treasury Secretary William Cleary and his wife, Kathleen, daughter is getting married in what is sure to be the Washington D.C. social event of the year.
John and Jeremy quickly fall for two bridesmaids, Claire and Gloria Cleary. Jeremy and Gloria soon get together while John is not so luck as Claire already has a near "perfect boyfriend Sack already. It is not like Jeremy at all to have fallen so hard for any woman but soon he cant think of anyone else but claire.
John is invited to spend the weekend party at the waterfront estate and soon convinces a resistant Jeremy to join them. This is where the real comedy occurs John and Jeremy are faced with a lot of comical situations and mishaps involved with the eccentric Cleary family, but also learn a few unexpected lessons about love and relationships.
The make up false alibis and adenitis which soon get questioned.
I found the film very funny and my favourite line was by far crazy Gloria saying to John in the bathroom "Ill come find you!"

It was about a month later I sat down to watch Because I said so this film made me both laugh and cry and I would say is probably the most "chick flick" out of them all I loved it!
Because I said so
Because I said so was first released in 2007 and was directed by Michael Lehman. It is a romantic comedy based around a mother and her three daughters (Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham and Piper Perabo.) At Maggie’s Wedding (Lauren Graham) her mother ( Diane Keaton) and her other sister (Piper Perabo) are all trying to set their youngest sister Milly (Mandy Moore) up with anyone who has a pulse really. Milly gets really nervous speaking to one bachelor they set her up with and embarrasses her mother ( after her warning her not to) doing a rather loud high pitched snorting. I wouldn’t even call it laughing) and he soon backs of.
Throughout the movie you see Milly unlucky with anyone she goes out with ( especially the man she ends up with at a wedding who is already married.) When her mother sees her daughter have no luck and after Milly declares she has given up men altogether she places a personal add where she invites eligible bachelors along for an interview. When the day comes and each one become the worse possible choice one after another her mother is near ready to give up. A guitarist names Johnny is watching the interviews going on and he goes over to show his interest. She quickly discourages him as she puts him down as the typical tattooed musician that will only end up breaking her heart. They are soon interrupted by a gorgeous professional (Jason) who explains he is going to be late if he isnt seen soon. Her mother jumps at the chance and interviews him. He "seems" perfect. Johnny picks up a card without her seeing and tucks it away.
He finds out where milly is working. (In the catering business) and they soon meet. Meanwhile Milly begins to date Jason and she ends up going out with them both at the same time. As their relationship develops she also begins to sleep with them both.
One night when Milly goes to Dinner with Jasons parents Johnny is waiting by and sees them both together. He is absolutly livid that she has been going out with Jason the same time as him and never wants to see her again.
At Jasons parents she hears his mother talking on the phone about her and how her son had met the girl on the internet. She soon confronts him and finds out all about her mothers scheme. She leaves him.
She confronts her mother and of course a massive fight happens between them. Meanwhile her mother Daphne starts to date Johnny’s Dad. Daphne tries her up most best to try and get Milly to forgive her.
One day Daphne ( her mother) and Joe (Johnny’s Father) are minding Jonnys son. When Jonny comes to collect him Daphne gives him some words of advice basically about how live is too short to give up on someone you love. He runs of finds Milly working and kisses her in front of everyone.
The film ends with them at her own mothers wedding.
A lovely story based on mother daughter relationships. Some very very funny moments but you still need some tissues!
The Dvd was first released May 8, 2007
Other Cast include
Gabriel Macht as Johnny Tom Everett Scott as Jason Grant Stephen Collins as Joe, Johnny's father Lauren Graham as Maggie Wilder-Decker Colin Ferguson as Maggie's husband Piper Perabo as Mae Wilder
In its first weekend of release, the film placed second in total box office
Classified PG-13 for sexual content.
Overall I think this is a must have box collection for any chick flick or even comedy fanatic!
