Overall, a very powerfull and compelling acount on the vietnam war. Based on a true story, Mel Gibson and his new infantry regiment get thrown into VC territory, massivly out numbered and at a huge disadvantage, the story follows on a powerful nature of war and loss of life, very gory in places, with excellent action sequences throughout most of the film and great sound effects keeping the viewer hooked to the screen. Keeping u transfixed until the last minute with a desperate charge of hope...... only to figure the true outcome when watched. Very memorable and educational to all fields of viewers which has been directed with presision and accuracy. Also a very good soundtrack is attatched and music throughout is A*. Would advise people to view this film if given the chance.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good?
