Advantages: A classic Mike Myers comedy, can be watched over and over! Disadvantages: None
...their public access cable show, Wayne's World, which they present from Wayne's basement.
The first film is basically about their show being bought up by a television company who want to exploit it, but naturally the day is saved in the end! This film also stars the hilarious Rob Lowe as the evil TV executive, Benjamin.
In the second film, Wayne and Garth decide to put on a rock festival in Aurora (where they live) after ... ...a dream. I personally think this is more amusing of the two films, but it's a very tough decision.
Both films a told very much from a rock standpoint, with sountracks that include Bad Company and Queen, and personal appearances from Aerosmith and Alice Cooper. The humour is standard Mike Myers, so if you're a fan of Austin Powers and the like, then this will probably be your cup of tea.

The bonus features include trailers, commentaries and some really good interviews with the actors, director, etc on the making of the film and how Mike and Dana came up with the original characters for Saturday Night Live. The extras are well worth a look.
Overall, I think this is great film for Mike Myers fans, rock music fans or fans of hilarious comedy! I think pretty much everyone falls into one of these categories, so in my opinion, it's a film for everyone!

A double DVD package that collects WAYNE'S WORLD and it's sequel. WAYNE'S WORLD: In this big screen spin-off of the SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE skit, two small-town cable TV hosts and best friends, Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey), spend their days and nights chasing babes (schwing!) and refusing to budge from their long-haired, head-banging lifestyle. Ably capturing a love of rock music and the goofiness and exuberance of youth, director Penelope Spheeris (THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION PARTS documentary series) brings a natural sense of fun and abandon to the film. (The car scene featuring Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" alone is a comedy classic.) WAYNE'S WORLD features appearances by Rob Lowe, Chris Farley, rockers Meat Loaf and Alice Cooper, and others. WAYNE'S WORLD 2: Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar return in this sequel to the 1992 pop-culture time capsule WAYNE'S WORLD. The boys still have their Aurora, Illinois, cable access show, Wayne is still dating Cassandra (Tia Carrere) and Garth has even found love in the form of Honey Hornee (Kim Basinger). After sleazy record producer Bobby Cahn (Christopher Walken) attempts to lure the foxy Cassandra away from Wayne, a stress-induced dream transports Wayne to a meeting in the desert with late Doors vocalist Jim Morrison, where the deceased rock hero convinces Wayne to organize a huge outdoor rock festival in Aurora called "Waynestock." Never one to ignore the commands of a dead rock god, Wayne enlists Garth to help him plan the concert.
